KIRK GASSEN, CEO
/ CMCA, AMS, CEO
Kirk Gassen is the principal of the Association Management firm, Gassen Company, Inc. Kirk attended the University of Wisconsin at LaCrosse from 1984-1988 and obtained his CMCA through CAI in 2003 and AMS in 2006.
Prior to joining the Gassen team in 2004, Kirk was the Industrial Sales Manager at Monterey Mills in Janesville, Wisconsin from 1998-2004. During his tenure Kirk opened new markets in Canada and other manufacturing companies in the United States and Mexico.
Gassen Management concentrates their portfolio in Minnesota, focusing only on managing community associations. Kirk is an active member of the Minnesota Chapter of the Community Association Institute. He has served on the board of directors and is one of the chapter’s past presidents.
Kirk Gassen also serves on the Board for Christian Cyber Ministries as well as Hometown Bank in Waconia.
AMY KLEINSCHMIDT, CPA
/ CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Amy Kleinschmidt is Chief Financial Officer for Gassen Company. Her responsibilities include ensuring timely and accurate financial statements to Gassen’s customers, as well as helping association boards understand and interpret their financial reporting through training and on-going support. She is also responsible for the Human Resources and office management functions at the company.
Prior to joining Gassen, Amy was Controller at Edina Realty HomeServices, a Twin Cities based real estate brokerage and title company, for eleven years. Previous positions include various accounting management roles with McKesson Medical-Surgical and an accounting staff position at UnitedHealthcare. She started her career as an auditor with the national public accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Amy has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Minnesota and an MBA from Metropolitan State University. She is a licensed CPA in the state of Minnesota.
KRISTI HOFFMAN, CMCA, AMS, PCAM
/ VICE PRESIDENT OF ASSOCIATION MANAGEMENT
Vice President, Kristi Hoffman, has excelled in service to her clients through actions of commitment, devoted service, and interaction with industry professionals. She has managed clients in both the apartment and association management industries and brings many years’ experience to her current position with Gassen Company. As a Vice President of Association Management, Kristi works with her team of Association Managers, as well as managing a portfolio of Association clients, with whom she has built strong relationships and has provided professional direction for their success.
Kristi is a graduate of South Dakota State University with a degree in Business Administration. She has earned the Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) and the Association Management Specialist (AMS) certifications through the Community Associations Institute (CAI) organization. In 2018 Kristi earned her Professional Community Association Management (PCAM) designation through CAI. The PCAM is the highest professional recognition available nationwide to managers who specialize in community association management. The educational opportunities offered through CAI allow Kristi and other professionals in the Property Management Industry to gain valuable expertise to better serve the Homeowner Associations that Gassen manages.
TERRY MAASS, AMS
/ VICE PRESIDENT OF ASSOCIATION MANAGEMENT, CMCA, AMS
Terry Maass is a Portfolio Director with Gassen Company. Terry has a wide range of experience in the customer service field and the building industry. As Portfolio Director, Terry is responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with current and new Homeowner Associations and homeowner clients. Terry started his career as a Property Manager with Gassen Company in June of 2012 and moved into the Portfolio Director position in April of 2013. In March of 2015 he earned the CMCA designation from Community Associations Institute.
Prior to joining Gassen Company, Terry was in the customer service industry at Bloom Health where he was one of three leaders in launching Bloom’s Customer Service Department. Terry was a Customer Service Advisor with Medica for the two years prior to Bloom Health.
Before his work in the healthcare industry, Terry was general contractor and buyer of product and material for a custom home building company he and a partner owned and operated.

Kyle Mikesh joined the Gassen family in 2016 as an Association Manager and has worked closely with his Board Member and Homeowner clients to ensure the highest level of support and service. He is an innovative, dynamic and detail-oriented leader with years of experience in multiple aspects of management. Kyle earned the Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) designation through Community Associations Institute (CAI) within the first six months of his employment with the company and is continually finding ways to improve client offerings through continuing education. His professional experience and background are great assets in his position as Vice President of Management, where he oversees and supports Gassen’s Association Managers.
Prior to joining Gassen Company, Kyle was a Franchise Owner at College Pro Painters for 4 years while attending St. Cloud State University during the first year of ownership. During his time at College Pro Painters Kyle marketed, sold, and produced over 200 jobs. To help produce the jobs Kyle also recruited, interviewed, and trained over 30 painters during the 4 years.
/ DIRECTOR OF CLIENT SUPPORT, CMCA, AMS
LaTasha Persley is Director of Client Support and a Senior Community Association Manager. LaTasha began her career with Gassen Company in 2011 and has continued to grow with the company. She is a member of Community Associations Institute (CAI) where she earned the Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) and the Association Management Specialist (AMS) designations. In 2015 LaTasha moved into the role of Supervisor of the company’s new Client Support Call Center, while continuing to manage a reduced portfolio.
In 2017 LaTasha was promoted to the Director of Client Support and joined the Gassen Leadership Team. She is responsible for overseeing the Client Support team, ensuring client and internal staff requests are met. LaTasha understands the great value in exceeding expectations; her main focus with the company is continuous improvement in the Client Support Team’s day to day client interactions.
LaTasha has a degree in Business Administration and fully utilizes this knowledge to grow as a stronger leader in the HOA industry.
