KIRK GASSEN, CMCA, AMS

/ CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Kirk Gassen is the second-generation owner of Gassen Company, which has served the Property Management industry for over 50 years. His commitment to the family business and developing a family culture with the Gassen Team is his passion. Prior to joining the Gassen team in 2004, Kirk was the Industrial Sales Manager at Monterey Mills in Janesville, Wisconsin from 1998-2004. During his tenure Kirk opened new markets in Canada and other manufacturing companies in the United States and Mexico.

Gassen Company concentrates our portfolio in Minnesota, focusing only on managing community associations. Kirk is an active member of the Minnesota Chapter of the Community Association Institute. He has served on the board of directors and is one of the chapter’s past presidents. Kirk also serves on the Board for Christian Cross Ministries.

Kirk attended the University of Wisconsin at LaCrosse from 1984-1988 and obtained his CMCA through CAI in 2003 and AMS in 2006.

BEN LAMPRON

/ CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Ben Lampron joined Gassen Company in 2022. In his role as COO, Ben is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the company. He is a key member of the executive team who will develop and execute the long-term growth strategy of Gassen. He is driven by his commitment to the company’s mission and his focus on delighting its clients.

Prior to joining Gassen, Ben was President of Metro Mold & Design, a plastics injection molding company, in Rogers, MN for five years. Previously, Ben was with Honeywell International for 23 years and served in a variety of sales, service, and general management roles in several states.

Outside of the office, Ben is an author and enjoys mentoring others with his book “Jumpstart Your Future.” He is also an active high school basketball official with the Minneapolis Officials Association. Ben and his wife Gretchen have three adult children, have a passion for travel, and embrace all of Minnesota’s four seasons.

Ben earned his bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Maine and a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.

AMY KLEINSCHMIDT, CPA

/ CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Amy Kleinschmidt joined Gassen Company in 2015. In her role of ensuring timely and accurate financial statements for Gassen’s clients, she particularly enjoys helping our clients understand and interpret their financial reporting through training and on-going support. She is also responsible for the Human Resources and employee benefits functions at Gassen, as well as overseeing the company’s internal financial statements through analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.

Prior to joining Gassen, Amy was Controller at Edina Realty HomeServices, a Twin Cities based real estate brokerage and title company, for eleven years. Previous positions include various accounting management roles with McKesson Medical-Surgical and an accounting staff position at UnitedHealthcare. She started her career as an auditor with the national public accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers.

In addition to her work experience, Amy also served as the Treasurer for her homeowner’s association for 7 years, so she has a true appreciation for the important role our clients’ board members play in managing their association effectively!

Amy has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Minnesota and an MBA from Metropolitan State University. She is also a licensed CPA in the state of Minnesota.

KRISTI HOFFMAN, CMCA, AMS, PCAM

/ PRESIDENT OF ASSOCIATION MANAGEMENT

With over 20 years of property management and customer service experience, Kristi Hoffman is highly effective in her role as President of Association Management for Gassen Company.

Kristi joined the Gassen team in 2012 as an Association Manager and in 2014 moved into the role of Director of Association Management. With her great organizational and people skills, she was promoted in 2018 to Vice President of Association Management. After two years in that role, Kristi accepted the position of President of Association Management for Gassen Company, in which she manages a reduced property portfolio, as well as supervises the Vice Presidents of Association Management.

Kristi excels in service to her team and her clients through actions of commitment, devoted service, and interaction with industry professionals. Kristi has the ability to build strong relationships by genuinely caring for and listening to others, and she provides professional direction for everyone’s success. Another of her strengths is helping community associations see their potential and realize their community’s goals. Kristi’s main areas of focus are on client retention, customer relations and leadership development at Gassen Company.

Kristi graduated from South Dakota State University with a B.A. degree in Commercial Economics. She was honored with a CAI Vision Award for Financial Impact in 2016. Kristi continues to be active in CAI and is currently the Chairperson of the Minnesota Chapter of the Legislative Action Committee. Kristi earned her Professional Community Association Manager designation in 2019. This designation is the highest professional recognition available nationwide to managers specializing in community association management.

In her free time, Kristi and her husband Wade enjoy spending time with family and friends, biking and boating.

TONY CHRISTOPHERSON

/ Sr. Project Manager of Gassen Project Management.

Tony Christopherson is Gassen Company’s Senior Project Manager and General Contractor. His responsibilities include management and oversight of Gassen’s Project Management and General Contracting division, which consists of a team of several Project Managers. Additionally, Tony maintains a portfolio of Association clients by overseeing both large scale and general maintenance projects to ensure quality, timeliness and cost-effective results.

Tony joined the Gassen Company team in November of 2011 as an on-site building manager where he gained much of his widespread knowledge of community associations. In 2016, Tony took over the leadership role for Gassen Project Management and General Contracting, which quickly became a highly effective and utilized division of Gassen Company.

Tony has spent nearly 18 years in the commercial and residential construction industry and maintains certifications as Special Engineer (SE), Certified Pool Operator (CPO) and General Contractor (GC).

Stephenie Gray, CMCA, AMS

/ Vice President of Association Management

Stephenie Gray joined the Gassen family in 2018 as an Association Manager. As a problem solver she enjoys diving into complex property matters; whether it be insurance claims, property maintenance, or community relationships. She also enjoys helping Gassen Company improve systems, communication, team engagement, and assists in the development of new company processes and technology. Stephenie also Chairs Gassen’s Outreach Committee.

Stephenie earned the Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) designation through Community Associations Institute (CAI) shortly after joining the company. Stephenie earned her Association Management Specialist (AMS) designation in 2022. In 2020 one of the properties she manages was awarded CAI’s Association of the Year.

Stephenie was promoted to Vice President of Association Management in 2021 where she can utilize her leadership experience supporting a team of Association Managers. As Vice President of Association Management, she is dedicated to helping her team solve problems and achieve their goals, helping to make their challenging and sometimes stressful days as productive and enjoyable as possible.

Prior to joining Gassen Company, Stephenie was a hospitality professional in leadership roles of General Manager, Account Manager and Catering and Sales Manager for Minneapolis based Restaurants and Food Service Management companies.

In her free time Stephenie enjoys every possible outdoor activity and spending time with her family and pets.

Karen Ingram, CMCA

/ Vice President of Association Management

Karen Ingram joined Gassen Company in August 2019 as an Association Manager. Prior to joining the Gassen Team, Karen had an extensive background in the restaurant industry, including serving as General Manager at several top restaurants in the Twin Cities area.

Karen was nominated for a Community Association Institute (CAI) Vision Award for “Rookie of the Year” in 2020 and earned the Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) designation in 2021. Karen’s passion for building strong relationships with and providing excellent service to her clients and her team advanced her to Vice President of Association Management in 2021. Karen has served on the CAI Education Committee and remains involved in CAI functions.

Karen believes that a good sense of humor combined with a strong work ethic, caring about people and setting high standards are keys to success, both in the workplace and in her personal life.

Nikki Youngquist, CMCA

/ Vice President of Association Management

Nikki Youngquist joined Gassen Company in 2018 as an Association Manager and was promoted in 2022 to Vice President of Association Management. Nikki has an extensive customer service background stemming from her retail management history. During her time in retail management, Nikki developed a good sense for clear communication, positivity, adaptability and professionalism, which all contribute to the skills needed to succeed in association management industry.

Nikki excels at building strong relationships with her clients and team members by empowering those around her to be successful in accomplishing their goals. She is efficient with her time and values timely responses while demonstrating a commitment to overcoming any obstacle.

Nikki earned the Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) designation in 2021 and is working towards earning the Association Management Specialist (AMS) designation.

In her free time, Nikki frequently enjoys spending time at Lake Vermilion with her kids, hunting and fishing.

Melissa Beaupre

/ Controller

Melissa Beaupre began her career with Gassen Company in the fall of 1999 on a temporary data entry assignment. In June 2000 she was hired on full-time to start her career in Gassen’s Accounting Department as an Accounts Receivable/Payroll Specialist.

With the support and training offered by her mentors and colleagues over the years, Melissa has progressed in her career with the company, moving into various roles including Accounting Assistant, Staff Accountant, Assistant Controller and since November 2020 to her current role of Controller. Through her many years with Gassen Company, Melissa has accumulated vast knowledge and understanding of accounting practices related specifically to homeowners associations. Gassen’s team of accountants report to Melissa.

While Melissa has worked exclusively within the Accounting department at the company, she and her team collaborate regularly with Gassen’s Association Management team to ensure seamless and efficient financial reporting transitions for new clients, and to provide excellence in financial reporting to all Gassen Company clients.
