KIRK GASSEN, CMCA, AMS
/ CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Kirk Gassen is the second-generation owner of Gassen Company, which has served the Property Management industry for over 50 years. His commitment to the family business and developing a family culture with the Gassen Team is his passion. Prior to joining the Gassen team in 2004, Kirk was the Industrial Sales Manager at Monterey Mills in Janesville, Wisconsin from 1998-2004. During his tenure Kirk opened new markets in Canada and other manufacturing companies in the United States and Mexico.
Gassen Company concentrates our portfolio in Minnesota, focusing only on managing community associations. Kirk is an active member of the Minnesota Chapter of the Community Association Institute. He has served on the board of directors and is one of the chapter’s past presidents. Kirk also serves on the Board for Christian Cross Ministries.
Kirk attended the University of Wisconsin at LaCrosse from 1984-1988 and obtained his CMCA through CAI in 2003 and AMS in 2006.
AMY KLEINSCHMIDT, CPA
/ CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Amy Kleinschmidt joined Gassen Company in 2015. In her role of ensuring timely and accurate financial statements for Gassen’s clients, she particularly enjoys helping our clients understand and interpret their financial reporting through training and on-going support. She is also responsible for the Human Resources and employee benefits functions at Gassen, as well as overseeing the company’s internal financial statements through analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
Prior to joining Gassen, Amy was Controller at Edina Realty HomeServices, a Twin Cities based real estate brokerage and title company, for eleven years. Previous positions include various accounting management roles with McKesson Medical-Surgical and an accounting staff position at UnitedHealthcare. She started her career as an auditor with the national public accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers.
In addition to her work experience, Amy also served as the Treasurer for her homeowner’s association for 7 years, so she has a true appreciation for the important role our clients’ board members play in managing their association effectively!
Amy has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Minnesota and an MBA from Metropolitan State University. She is also a licensed CPA in the state of Minnesota.
KRISTI HOFFMAN, CMCA, AMS, PCAM
/ PRESIDENT OF ASSOCIATION MANAGEMENT
With over 20 years of property management and customer service experience, Kristi Hoffman is highly effective in her role as President of Association Management for Gassen Company.
Kristi joined the Gassen team in 2012 as an Association Manager and in 2014 moved into the role of Director of Association Management. With her great organizational and people skills, she was promoted in 2018 to Vice President of Association Management. After two years in that role, Kristi accepted the position of President of Association Management for Gassen Company, in which she manages a reduced property portfolio, as well as supervises the Vice Presidents of Association Management.
Kristi excels in service to her team and her clients through actions of commitment, devoted service, and interaction with industry professionals. Kristi has the ability to build strong relationships by genuinely caring for and listening to others, and she provides professional direction for everyone’s success. Another of her strengths is helping community associations see their potential and realize their community’s goals. Kristi’s main areas of focus are on client retention, customer relations and leadership development at Gassen Company.
Kristi graduated from South Dakota State University with a B.A. degree in Commercial Economics. She was honored with a CAI Vision Award for Financial Impact in 2016. Kristi continues to be active in CAI and is currently the Chairperson of the Minnesota Chapter of the Legislative Action Committee. Kristi earned her Professional Community Association Manager designation in 2019. This designation is the highest professional recognition available nationwide to managers specializing in community association management.
In her free time, Kristi and her husband Wade enjoy spending time with family and friends, biking and boating.
TERRY MAASS, CMCA, AMS
/ VICE PRESIDENT OF ASSOCIATION MANAGEMENT, CMCA, AMS
Terry Maass joined Gassen Company in 2012 as an Association Manager where he was responsible for managing condominium, townhome and single-family home associations. After three years, Terry was promoted to Vice President of Association Management with primary responsibilities focusing on Gassen Company’s operations, client retention and supporting a team of Association Managers dedicated to the company’s clients.
Prior to joining the Gassen Team, Terry gained over 15 years customer service experience with Medica and Bloom Health. He was one of three company leaders responsible for launching Bloom Health’s Customer Service Department. Terry was also a general contractor for a custom home building company he owned and operated with a business partner.
Terry has earned his Certified Manager of Community Association (CMCA) and Association Management Specialist (AMS) designations from Community Associations Institute (CAI) organization.
Terry’s other passion is coaching Volleyball. He has over 30 years of experience coaching high school and Junior Olympic girls Volleyball. Terry and his wife currently manage and run their own Volleyball Club in the Twin Cities metro area.
KYLE MIKESH, CMCA
/ VICE PRESIDENT OF ASSOCIATION MANAGEMENT, CMCA
Kyle Mikesh joined the Gassen family in 2016 as an Association Manager and has worked closely with his Board Member and Homeowner clients to ensure the highest level of support and service. He is an innovative, dynamic, detail-oriented leader with years of experience in multiple aspects of management.
Kyle earned the Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) designation through Community Associations Institute (CAI) within the first six months of his employment with Gassen Company and is frequently finding ways to improve client offerings through continuing education. His professional experience and background are great assets to his current position of Vice President of Association Management, where he oversees and supports a team of Association Managers.
Prior to joining Gassen Company, Kyle was a Franchise Owner at College Pro Painters for four years while attending St. Cloud State University. During his time at College Pro Painters, Kyle marketed, sold, and produced over 200 jobs, for which he recruited, interviewed and trained over 30 painting personnel in a four-year span.
As Vice President of Association Management, Kyle’s passion is to ensure his team of Association Managers are successful leaders in the communities they manage. He enjoys the unique challenges each day brings and the opportunity to resolve matters efficiently and effectively, resulting in satisfied clients.
LaTASHA PERSLEY, CMCA, AMS
/ DIRECTOR OF CLIENT SUPPORT
LaTasha began her career with Gassen Company in 2011 as an Association manager and has continued to grow with the company. In 2015 LaTasha moved into the role of Supervisor of the company’s new Client Support Call Center, while managing a reduced property portfolio. In 2017 LaTasha was promoted to Director of Client Support and joined the Gassen Leadership Team. She is responsible for overseeing a team of Client Support staff, ensuring client and internal requests are met. LaTasha understands the great value in exceeding expectations; her main focus with the company is continuous improvement in the Client Support Team’s day to day client interactions.
LaTasha is a member of Community Associations Institute (CAI) where she earned the Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) and the Association Management Specialist (AMS) designations. She has a degree in Business Administration and fully utilizes this knowledge to grow as a strong leader in the HOA industry.
With a great sense of understanding that clients are looking for guidance and solutions when contacting Gassen Company, LaTasha trains her team to place themselves in the client’s position and assist them the way they would expect to be treated and to be problem-solvers for each and every person who contacts Gassen Company. LaTasha understands that in any workplace, professional, courteous and even fun customer service are the keys to great success.

Gassen Construction and Maintenance
Keith began his construction career as a teenager working alongside his father in the family’s drywall and construction business. After high school Keith moved to the Twin Cities metro area and continued working in the field for both union and non-union construction companies. Keith has worked on the commercial side of construction remodeling on build-outs for warehouses, hotels and office spaces throughout the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area, as well as gaining experience on the residential side of construction with a prominent custom home builder in the metro area.
In 2010 Keith decided to change his path by starting his own construction company, KTS Construction. After a successful ten years as owner/operator of his own company, Keith once again decided to make a shift and partner with Gassen Construction and Maintenance. Keith looks forward to building relationships with HOA boards and homeowners alike. His goal is to create a trustful, high quality construction and maintenance company under the Gassen umbrella.
When not at work serving his clients, Keith enjoys time with his family.
/ SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER AND GENERAL CONTRACTOR
Tony Christopherson is Gassen Company’s Senior Project Manager and General Contractor. His responsibilities include management and oversight of Gassen’s Project Management and General Contracting division, which consists of a team of several Project Managers. Additionally, Tony maintains a portfolio of Association clients by overseeing both large scale and general maintenance projects to ensure quality, timeliness and cost-effective results.
Tony joined the Gassen Company team in November of 2011 as an on-site building manager where he gained much of his widespread knowledge of community associations. In 2016, Tony took over the leadership role for Gassen Project Management and General Contracting, which quickly became a highly effective and utilized division of Gassen Company.
Tony has spent nearly 18 years in the commercial and residential construction industry and maintains certifications as Special Engineer (SE), Certified Pool Operator (CPO) and General Contractor (GC).
