Kirk Gassen is a principle of the Association Management firm, Gassen Management. Kirk attended the University of Wisconsin at LaCrosse from 1984-1988 and obtained his CMCA through CAI in 2003 and AMS in 2006.
Prior to joining the Gassen team in 2004, Kirk was the Industrial Sales Manager at Monterey Mills in Janesville, Wisconsin from 1998-2004. During his tenure Kirk opened new markets in Canada and other manufacturing companies in the United States and Mexico.
Gassen Management concentrates their portfolio in Minnesota, focusing only on managing community associations. Kirk is an active member of the Minnesota Chapter of the Community Association Institute. He has served on the board of directors and is one of the chapter’s past presidents.
Kirk Gassen also serves on the Board for Christian Cyber Ministries and sits on the Business Planning Task Force for Mayer Lutheran High School.
Jane Hintzen is Controller for Gassen Company and oversees the Accounting Department, Administrative Staff and the Human Resources Department.
During her 20 year tenure with Gassen Company as Controller, Jane has implemented many new systems and processes, most recently converting accounting/management/web software systems. One of Jane’s many achievements is her development of the "open door policy" for board members of Gassen managed properties. Jane holds ongoing financial training sessions which assist our clients in making strong, sound financial decisions. Her initiative in training and education both internally and with our clients has been instrumental in our growth and success.
Prior to joining the Gassen Team, Jane has worked in a variety of finance positions including Healthcare, marketing incentives, retail publishing and for the past 23 plus years in residential management both in Denver, Colorado, and for the past 20 years with Gassen Company.
/ Portfolio Director
Beth Gassen has been working in the property management industry since 1997 specializing in Association Management. At the beginning of her career with Gassen Company, Beth started as a part-time administrative assistant. With persistence and determination Beth has earned the position of Regional Portfolio Director of Property Management.
Beth has recently obtained the coveted Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM) designation through Community Associations Institute. The PCAM designation is the highest professional designation available nationwide to managers who specialize in community association management. Additionally, Beth is chairperson for the CAVL Committee through Community Associations Institute, which offers educational opportunities to Homeowner Associations.
Managing Homeowner Associations is Beth’s passion. She takes pride in being a part of her family's business and looks forward to the continued growth and development of the Minnesota based Property Management Company.
/ Senior Portfolio Manager
Carla Gruenhagen is an experienced Portfolio Director with Gassen Company in Eden Prairie, MN. Her credentials range from portfolio management, company trainer and accounting. She is responsible for managing strategic partnerships with clients and employees. Ms. Gruenhagen started as a Property Manager in March 2010 and accepted the position of Portfolio Director in May 2013 as a full time executive with the company.
Before moving to Gassen Company, Ms. Gruenhagen was a property accountant at General Growth Properties. Her emphasis was on budgeting & forecasting for this Fortune 500 Company.
Currently, Ms. Gruenhagen serves on the steering committee for CIA’s charitable giving organization. Ms. Gruenhagen holds the following designations: CMCA and Tax Compliance Manager. Carla brings over 25 years of real estate experience to Gassen Company.
/ Portfolio Director
Terry Maass joined Gassen Management in June 2012 as Association Manager. He earned his current position of Portfolio Director in April 2013.
Terry has a wide range of experience in the customer service field and the building industry and is currently responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with Gassen Management’s existing and new Association clients.
Prior to joining Gassen Management, Terry was a leader in the customer service department at Bloom Health where he was one of three people tasked with developing Bloom’s Customer Service Department. He also spent two years with Medica as Customer Service Advisor.
Before entering the healthcare industry, Terry owned a custom home building business in the Twin Cities area. He and his partner were general contractors and materials buyers, giving him the valuable expertise required for his current position with Gassen Management.
/ Marketing and Contracts Coordinator
Sherri has been with Gassen Companies since August 2009. At the beginning of her career with Gassen Companies, Sherri started as Rental Manager for off-site homeowners. She gained valuable knowledge of the property management industry, enabling her to transition to her current position of Marketing and Contracts Coordinator.
As Marketing and Contracts Coordinator, Sherri works with potential clients to gain knowledge about the prospect’s association in order to provide them with valuable information about the services Gassen Companies provides and a quote for management, maintenance and construction services. Sherri also holds the responsibility of preparing contracts for new clients and processing contract renewals for Gassen’s many existing clients.
Sherri enjoys assisting with managing properties, coordinating company events, creating marketing materials, as well as other internal company responsibilities.
/ Transition Specialist / Association Manager
Jodie Woodrow has been in the property management field since 1983. Jodie’s career started at Eberhardt as a personal secretary to a principle of Eberhardt in the Property Management Division; she joined Gassen Company in 1986.
Jodie attended Bemidji State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Her first job out of college was with Eberhardt and her passion for this field has continued for 30 years.
From a personal secretary Jodie advanced to an Assistant for Property Managers and moved into her current position as Property Manager. Jodie currently manages a small portfolio of associations and, as the Transition Coordinator for Gassen Company, is responsible for all duties involved when transitioning the management of new properties. Jodie also works closely with the Principles of Gassen Company.
As a property manager, Jodie particularly enjoys the challenge of taking on a homeowner’s problem or concern and bringing resolution to every issue encountered in the day to day management of properties.
